Trauma-based coping skills and holistic practices for anxiety/PTSD – Candace Sneed and Wesley Sneed
Hello! My name is Dr. Candace Sneed. I am an assistant professor for Liberty University (LU). I began teaching at LU in 2021 as an adjunct prior to being hired as Core Faculty and have loved every minute of my time with LU! I have over 15 years of experience in teaching, leadership, and counseling. I hold a master's degree in Marriage, Couples, Family Counseling, my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, and an LPC (or equivalent) in 3 states. My certifications include National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Tele-Mental Health Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Integrated Mental Health Profession. Moreover, I have a small private practice at which I see a few weekly clients on the side. My husband is a chaplain in the Air Force; therefore, I am a bit nomadic. Currently (and temporarily), I reside in South Korea - recently relocated from Washington, DC. By mid-summer, we will be relocated to Germany. My research interests include religion/spirituality, military family issues, multiculturalism, holistic approaches to healing, and Adlerian theory/practice. My hobbies include travel, continuing education regarding health and wellness, cooking, hiking (or anything outdoors really...isn't God's creation beautiful?!), and spending time with my family. I have 2 children, ages 11 and 8, who attend Abeka Academy online so that we can travel and experience more of this world's beautiful cultures! I am a child of God - blessed beyond all measure and incredibly excited to continue my work with the students of LU! To God be all glory, and may He continue to use me as His vessel!
